Marcello Cualbu

Marcello Cualbu is a teacher and freelancer that deals with the field of technologies applied to art, design and architecture. He furthered his studies in Cagliari and in Rome where he went deeper on his research about new media. In 2005 he founded Quit, a project including a studio, an exhibition space and a festival focused on new digital languages. He took part in several international residencies and performances approaching increasing levels of complex programming, hardware innovation and digital fabrication and his last research is based on AI and machine learning applied to art and typography. He’s the co-founder of Progetto Borca, a residency for artists and architects located in the Dolomites, and EIA, a science school based on AI and design.
